Educational Psychology

Our Educational Psychology Service (EPS) supports schools to implement SEND duties and requirements through:

  • Specialist consultation using problem solving and solution focused techniques
  • Psychological assessment
  • Practical advice
  • Training/Inset/Twilight sessions
  • Clinical Supervision to support staff development and wellbeing
  • Action research

The EPS also works with parents/carers of CYP with SEND and/or other complex needs and vulnerabilities. We promote emotional health and wellbeing, preparation for adulthood and educational success. The Educational Psychology team has detailed knowledge of SEND legislation and current best practice to support vulnerable children and young people. We also maintain very close links with Devon County Council and are ideally placed to support schools with their SEND duties.
